How did you get started in fitness?
About 4 years ago I hit the rock bottom. My marriage fell apart, I was physically ill, got depressed and thought my life was over. I decided to join military to pursue a long time dream of mine and at the age of 35 I joined VA National Guard. After coming back from training I had no idea how to keep myself in shape. I never went to the gym before and I hated weights. I started doing boot camp but I felt it wasn’t enough. A friend of mine invited me to her bikini competition. After seeing her on stage I realized – this is what I meant to do.
What motivates you to be your best?
Feeling and looking the best I’ve ever been in my life. Seeing my body change and looking better and better. Motivating others and observing their personal changes.
What has made you the most proud along your fitness journey?
Accomplishing big goals by having small victories behind the stage. Learning from my mistakes, experimenting with different diets, exercises. Achieving and overcoming things I was never able to do in physical, emotional and mental levels.
What are your current physique goals?
Healthy, lean and proportional physique.

What advice do you have for anyone who is just getting started in their fitness journey?
Start with something. Don’t wait or be scared. Step out of your comfort zone. Be consistent and patient.
When you are not in the gym what are some of your favorite things to do?
Gardening, photography, traveling.
